With his dissertation Towards Practical Privacy-Preserving Protocols (opens in new tab), former ENCRYPTO PhD student Daniel Demmler won the CAST/GI PhD thesis award for IT-Security 2020.

This award is given by CAST e.V. and the German Informatics Society (GI) for excellent performance in the area of IT-Security with a dissertation representing an advancement in IT-Security and a gain in security of IT applications.

From 2013 to 2018, Daniel Demmler did his doctorate with distinction at the ENCRYPTO group. He is a postdoc at Uni Hamburg since 2019.
