We do research on several topics in the area of cryptography and privacy engineering, such as cryptographic protocols, secure multi-party computation, private function evaluation, tools for cryptographic protocols, and privacy-preserving applications like privacy-preserving machine learning and graph analysis.
Our requirements usually are (depending on the level):
- Basic knowledge (for HiWis) up to several publications at top venues (for Postdocs) in applied cryptography, ideally on some of our research topics mentioned above
- Ideally programming experience, as we often build software prototypes
- Very good command of English, no requirement for German
- High degree of self-motivation, reliability, diligence, creativity, and the ability to work independently
- HiWis/SHKs must be enrolled at a German university
